Maybe they will listen to you Mark.
I'm still waiting on a correction that I reported after starting this thread in 2009:...
Is it just me, or has part of verse 10 been added to verse 11 in Judges 20 in the new NIV 2011?
NIV 2011 (NIV)
NIV 1984 (NIVO)
Good one! I should have thought of that, considering the query (...) is pretty unusual.
Also glad to know it is pretty rare in the translation. But still, for me it would definitely be a factor...
The other day I was reading the ESV and spotted in 1 Samuel 13:1 that the translators have chosen to use three dots to represent the uncertainty in the original texts.
I was kind of blown away...
Ok, now the error is spawning children - either that or I didn't see them yesterday...
Same in TNIV.
I've reported them all to service@bibleworks.com
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing the '%@%@%@' instead of 'and' I'm seeing in 1 Chronicles 25:9?
I'm seeing the same in the TNIV:
I ended up doing what Bennett B. Wethered did.
Formatted the hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7. I was using the installation of Windows 7 that the new Dell laptop came with from...
I'm having the same problem since moving to Windows 7 - only difference is that I use font size 12.
I've tried repairing the program using the installation disc and uninstalling the entire program...
Very grateful! :)
Many thanks for the update on your progress Glenn!
I'm still really looking forward to seeing your hard work significantly increase my knowledge of the church fathers.
Sorry for asking. It's just that I'd been waiting and waiting for the correction (checking for a patch every couple of days) and had no idea whether it was even on the agenda anymore. I'm pleased...
Almost 3 months later of patient waiting and I still haven't seen this rectified, although I keep applying every patch released.
One of the reasons I upgraded was for this module but it has become...
Is there anyway of confirming my identification of a Hebrew verb functioning as a stative in Bibleworks?
I searched 'stative' in the help file and the forums and came up with absolutely no hits....
Great tip! Thanks a lot for sharing it.
Nice tip!
And thanks for your thoughts on an English translation.
Thanks for making this available.
Does anyone know what the copyright info is so I can reference it? (on that note, is the copyright section of the Bibleworks help file ever updated when new...
Solution 1 worked nicely.
But I've still become very cautious about relying too much on the Bibleworks searches as at what point do they stop giving valid results?
Thanks a lot for what...
I've been trying to run a very large search on the BGM database limiting it to the NT only.
The search is:
/boulomai dehsij enteuxij entugcanw epizhtew eucaristew eudokia euch eucomai proseuch...
Absolutely brilliant!! Thanks a million!!
So happy to have saved so much money and so much shelf space!
Ok, contrary to what you have said elsewhere Michael, I think you're just perfect! :)
And a big thanks to Pasquale for making them available!!
I may be doing something wrong, but whenever I copy those files into my 'c:\program files\BibleWorks 7\databases' folder, Bibleworks won't open.
Are they supposed to be used in conjunction with...
With the high quality of your work at the blog it is easy to get the impression that you are!
Thanks again for your labours.
Michael,
Is there a reason that I can't seem to find this one on your page 'User Created BibleWorks Files (hosted on this site)'?
If it wasn't for this thread here I probably would have missed...
Thanks a lot! :)
Saunders, can you enable email from other members in your user options? I don't want to go 'off-topic' in the thread.
Thanks.
