Congrats on the upgrade! I loved BW8, but I'd have a hard time going back now.

Congrats on the upgrade! I loved BW8, but I'd have a hard time going back now.
I gave up. . . . It kept crashing, regardless of computer. But it's only a problem when "Display Brother Text" is selected.
Thanks for the tip--I never would have thought of that. Allowing regular wild card searches might be something to improve for BW10, if not sooner.
But after getting the list to come up in the...
I am trying to make a verb list for a passage (specifically Joshua 1-6) using the KWIC tool. I am using the instructions at http://www.bibleworks.com/classroom/3_01/index.html, and they seem fairly...
For some versions, BW does not provide the footnotes. The ASV is another example.
Jim, I would definitely be interested. Perhaps instead of discussing it from the purpose of just explaining the different tools, you could show how to use BW from within the contexts of various...
I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but here is a recorded BW live seminar: http://www.luthersem.edu/technology/freerangelearning.aspx?m=3725&post=187
Why was this particular BibleWorks help file removed from BW9? It makes no sense.
I had been terribly worried about confusion between sentence diagrams and GPS maps. . . . But it seems the folks at BW really do think of everything!
That is good news! Thanks for the info, Mike.
Good point. I'm pretty sure that would only apply to those who already had BW before BW obtained the new NIV release.
Actually, the 1984 NIV does remain available in BW along with the updated version.
Good question.
Another possibility would be to save two sets of notes in two different folders. Just "Choose Notes Dir" (to the right of the "Print" button on the "Notes" toolbar) when you switch between working...
I don't know . . . I think some people are posting to "second" and "third" requests that have already been made. I would imagine that the more people are interested in an addition, the more likely...
It shouldn't be a problem. I run BW9 on 3 computers, and have all my add-on modules on all 3 as well.
I may be stating the obvious here, but you will have to have your installation CDs to unlock...
Congrats, Michael! And enjoy every moment with her you can . . . they grow up far too quickly.
My curiosity is piqued!
Surely they meant that to read
Otherwise, it's kind of saying the opposite of what I think they mean.
Strange . . . my Greek references are atop my English ones, for the most part. In the NT, the resource window order seems to be (1) Greek lexicons, (2) Greek grammars, (3) Background, (4)...
That's a recent update since BW 9.
I prefer it the way it is. It makes it more flexible.
I don't know what much else to add to your comments. The "Resources" tab shows what commentaries address the passage in the Browse window. Also, you can bring up a commentary just like you would...
Rom. 13:1-2
;)
Glad to pass on the help that I received myself. And it does seem to be an HP thing with any function key in any program.
