Keith Elliott TC Book -- anyone seen an online version or BW database for it?

http://rosetta.reltech.org/TC/v16/index.html is a link I just found for Keith Elliott's New Testament Textual Criticism: The Application of Thoroughgoing Principles; Essays on Manuscripts and Textual Variation . Last link on that page is a book review; click on the word 'here' at the very end of the page, to see the Table of Contents. Book has many interesting articles; but I'd rather find a computer version, since the book is about 700 pages long. If you know of a computer version, would you let me know? Thanks!

Oh the cursed Brill! They publish such wonderful books, at such extravagant prices!

Amazon lists Elliott's work for a mere $259, but you could get it for the low low price of just $228.42!

Electronic versions of Elliott's work do exist (http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/727951696), but they are through the kinds of vendors that will distribute to libraries, and I'm not sure they would sell to individual buyers (though even if they did, you would likely not get any kind of discount).

Thank you. The price doesn't bother me. Hardback bothers me. I have Elliott in my Amazon cart, but I don't want hardback.

What makes Bibleworks so fantastic is its search capabilities. Pity that most of the modules are those awful chm files which disable effective searching. You have to use a decompiler or View Source, both of which make for annoying searches. So I want to see if there is an electronic edition I can buy which is not, hopefully, one of those stinky chm formats. I can buy it for my local library or seminary, and then use it. :) Wish me luck!

I just wrote to Brill, asking if I could buy an electronic edition for my local library. ;)

If you don't want hardback (which I prefer), you might want to contact The Society of Biblical Literature, who "sometimes" print Brill's hardbacks as paperbacks. However, they probably won't do this until the book has been out for a year or so.

According to Brill's website, the book is only available in Hardback at the moment, i.e. no electronic edition (for the time being).

If you have to buy hardback, might I suggest you try a place like dovebook.com, which is selling for $40 less than Amazon - which doesn't have it in stock anyway.

I have also found eisenbrauns.com to be a very good website for books, but for some reason their website is down as I write this (although it is midnight in the US - central time, so maybe they are doing maintenance).

Thank you. I'll see if eisenbrauns offers electronic editions. I'm not looking to save money. It's annoying to search through printed material. Computer searching is faster, so long as the format isn't chm. (The chm format is useless.)
