I don't have that problem exactly, but sometimes with the touch pad on my laptop the computer thinks I double clicked on something I intended to click only once, and the second click closes the window, or activates another window, which covers the window I just opened. So the window you want may just be hidden behind another window.
However when I click on a manuscript in Tischendorf, even though I can see the information I want in the "Key to Abbreviations" window, I get the following pop-up window:
The Information Bar alerts you when Internet Explorer blocks a pop-up window or file downoad that might not be safe. If a Web page does not display properly, look for the Information Bar (near the top of your browser).
The window that contains the information (browser window?) also displays this banner across the top:
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click here for options...
When I click there and then click on "allow blocked content" I get another pop-up window that says:
Allowing active content such as script and ActivX controls can be useful, but active content might also harm your computer.
Are you sure you want to let this file run active content?
For a reason unknown to me BW displays the Tischendorf abbreviations in Microsoft Internext Explorer window. Even when I am off line my settings warn me about opening this window. I just click on "Yes" and the "Explorer" window goes to the Color Codes section for Tischendorf. Then I can look up the Tischendorf symbol I originally wanted, and it works fine, until I close the window, and have to complete this process all over again.
ButI can simply ignore the MS Explorer warning windows and view the information in the "Key to Abbreviations" window, leaving the warning banner across the top.
Someone more knowledgable about Microsoft explorer settings might be able to explain this.
