I wanted to see if there are plans to include the Message as an add on to Bibleworks in the near future?

The Message is already available, but it takes a little work.

You can get it at this site HERE (http://www.tech.com.au/biblewdn/)
but if you need more help, look at this THREAD (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1600&page=2&pp=10&highlight=message)

I get the same thing. I'm really confused about this whole process of getting the add-ons, etc. I'm not sure where to type a file name, where to browse and select a file, etc. I've pretty much given up.

If you would read all of the msgs of the thread above you might get the idea that whatever method the user who made this program used, it no longer works for those versions. So you're having problems not because you're doing something wrong but because the program to do this doesnt work because website/links which the program depended on have been changed and such.

If you badly want the message or one of those other ones, my suggestion would be to try e-sword (www.e-sword.net (http://www.e-sword.net/)) , a free bible program that does have an add-on for the Message.

I have just uploaded 12 new Bibles to the Master List which includes all of e-Sword's Bibles "missing" Bibles as well (e.g. The Message Bible, etc.)

Check it out at:

Sorry folks.

Some people suggested that The Message Bible ought to be removed from the Master List due to copyright issues, etc.. I hope for the rest of you that you managed to get yourself a copy of it in the short time it was available before it was removed.

Perhaps if someone is willing to find out who the distributor is and ask them for the permission, I can add it back to the list.

Blessings,

Robin

The distributor would be the publisher of the work, which I believe would be NavPress (http://www.navpress.com/BibleProducts/).

I'm having difficulty finding a contact email. I would like to send a formal request letter that they might review and respond with an acceptance/denial letter.

Thanks for your help,

Robin

Robin you are misunderstanding copyright laws. The laws assume all rights to the owners UNLESS specifically granted to others. You are doing a 180 assuming all rights for yourself and none for the owners UNTIL you hear from them. Please, do a 180! You can expect to hear from BW staff I'm sure because this thinking is a BIG no-no.

Whether it's music from U2 or the Holy Bible, stealing is stealing.

Hi Robin-

Much of what you're doing is very helpful for our users. I thank you for your selfless labor and enthusiasm. The user community is greatly helped by some of your efforts.

I'm disappointed to see that you have decided to post versions that clearly violate copyright laws. Though we believe that the Bible should be freely distributed, we also believe that we must obey the Bible when it says "be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient..." (Titus 3:1) and "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God." (Rom 13:1).

For this reason I'm asking you to remove the links to the versions that are in clear violation of copyright law (TNIV, The Message, Watchtower, etc.). If the links to these versions are not off the forum by the end of the day, I will be forced to delete your posts myself.

I hope you will be able to see how the above passages must direct our behavior. If you can obtain permission from the copyright holders, I will be happy to have you post the links again.

Michael
