View Full Version : CNTTS Apparatus at Gal. 3:17
I have a quick question about the CNTTS NT Apparatus at Gal. 3:17. What, pray tell, do χν and χρν abbreviate? I'm sure there is something obvious that I'm missing, but a little help would be appreciated.968

χριστον. It's part of the nomina sacra (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomina_sacra) conventions.

Thanks--I knew it was something obvious. I'm not used to the nomina sacra being considered variants in the apparatus.

I don't believe nomina are reproduced in the apparatus of something like NA27, but in CNTTS, they reproduce exactly what the manuscript says when it comes to the nomina.
