Greetings. Is there a "version" in BW or that can be uploaded that has The New Testament Greek transliteration (as per SBL)? Perhaps also for Hebrew? I often like to include these when creating classroom handouts. Many thanks.

Hi, Joe!
There is the BHT for the OT and GRT for the NT.
Not sure what transliteration scheme the BHT uses, but the GRT is specifically based on the SBL Handbook of Style.

Many thanks Mark. You are always most helpful. I see the BHT in BW; yet I don't see the GRT. Where can I secure a copy of the GRT?
Best,

Greek Bible Transliterated (http://bibleworks.oldinthenew.org/version/grt.zip) (Jim Darlack)

Jim pulled this together. That's the direct link to the ZIP file which is on the Old in the New site (http://bibleworks.oldinthenew.org/?page_id=138).

Hmm... I've not looked at this file for a while. I compiled it on my laptop using BW9, but there are issues. The font is displaying correctly in the search results, but the text in the browse window is not showing the BWSymbs font correctly.

I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not. I'll try compiling with BW8 tomorrow at work to see if that makes a difference.

Many thanks Jim for investigating further the Greek transliteration "version" for BW9. Much appreciated. A transliterated "version" is often a helpful tool in the classroom.

Hi there Joe, etc.

Sorry it took me so long to get to this (with the Christmas/New Year's break, I was away from the machine that I have that runs BW8).

Here are the GRT files compiled in BW8, if you copy them to your /Program Files/BibleWorks X/databases/ folder, you'll be able to run them in BW8 or BW9. For some reason, when I try to compile the source files (linked in Mark's post above) in BW9, I get problems, but the database as compiled in BW8 works fine.

Here are the pre-compiled files:

GRT Compiled Files (http://bibleworks.oldinthenew.org/version/grtcompiled.zip) (unzip and copy files to the directory mentioned above)

Many thanks Jim for posting this updated Greek transliteration version. I'll install it as per your directions. Thanks again for your extra efforts. Very much appreciated.
