These days it seems like the Bible software market is about as safe as the old-fashioned book market.

I don't have any particular ties to Thomas-Nelson, but I'm not really a fan of HarperCollins, nor of big companies getting bigger.

I tried to buy the cool aid stand from the kids on the corner, but they were asking too much, plus I couldn't find anybody to run it for me.

Some years ago Random House bought out at least one Christian publishing house (Waterbrook Press, one of my books was the first one they ever published) because Random House saw the growing potential in the Christian market.

It's ALL about money, and don't ever kid yourself otherwise.

Especially when you realise that HarperCollins is merely a subsidiary of Murdoch's Newscorp.

It was a sad day for Christian literature when he bought out Zondervan.

It was a sad day for baseball when he bought out the Dodgers.


It's ALL about money, and don't ever kid yourself otherwise.
