View Full Version : Imperative Case

Hello, how do I search for verbs in Imperative Case? I'm unable to find an answer and now turn to you all. I use BibleWorks 8. Kind regards, Mikael
First of all, make sure you have a morphology version (BGM, BYM, WTM, etc.) selected as your search version.
After entering the lemma followed by @ in the command line (or .*@ if you are looking for all imperatives), the morphology assistant should drop down from the command line. If it doesn't, right click in the command line and select "Command Line Morphology Help."
You will first select "v" for verb and then "d" for imperative (in the Greek).
So a search for all the imperatives of εἰμί will look like this: .εἰμί@vd*
I hope this helps. I would recommend that you watch the tutorial video on How to Use the Command Line. Also, if you hit F1 while the cursor is in the command line, you will find some helpful examples of command line searches.
