Sometimes updates that I would like to install are buried in a long list of foreign Bible translations. Since I don't read Chinese, Turkish, Korean, or Czech (to name a few), I have no need to install the translations and I wish for some way to hide them. I suppose this is a feature request...

Your wish has been granted.

1. Put a check by updates you'd rather not see.
2. In the menu, go to Updates and "Hide selected updates"
3. Shazam!

Thanks Michael. This has long been an irritation, but I didn't know how to get rid of them.

3. Shazam!

Shazam? You're showing your age. :p

I'll take that as a compliment. I had no idea that dated me.

Great cartoon (Shazzam). But, alas, I too am dating myself. Johnny Quest was the best! Certainly a cut above the rest!

I'd never noticed that option. I love it.

Apparently it's not a *complete* secret, this thread (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?2649-Can-I-Remove-Items-from-the-Updater-Without-Installing-Them) has some 4000 views. :p

But wasn't "Shazam" also Gomer Pyle's exclamation in either Gomer Pyle or Andy Griffith? I'm pretty sure that this predated the cartoon.

Of course, remembering that dates me an awful lot as well. :)

I never liked the cartoon Shazzam - but I agree that Johnny Quest was great.

In either case, I think both of these things happened before I was even born :)

I think you're right, Jim. Of course, I remember Gomer Pyle more for his, "Well... golly!" Johnny Quest was out of this world.

Ah, but you're just a lad then, Michael!
