In the NIV, for example, the translators footnotes are included in the text:

"the voice of the singers {Or archers; the meaning of the Hebrew for this word is uncertain.} at the watering places. They recite the righteous acts of the LORD, the righteous acts of his warriors {Or villagers} in Israel. "Then the people of the LORD went down to the city gates." (Jdg 5:11 NIB)

Is there a way to turn this off? It's a pain if I want to copy and paste text.

There are two easy ways to turn off the notes --

1. Place your cursor in the Browse window and then press "n"

2. Click on "TrNotes" in the status bar at the bottom of BW.
