Hello Users!

As you know, we released a patch a few days ago that broke BibleWorks 8 for many non-English users. The patch was designed to make it easier for Limited User Accounts to run BibleWorks. Unfortunately, there was a bug in the code that only seemed to affect non-English versions of Windows. If the above patch was applied, BibleWorks would no longer start without immediately generating error messages and then crashing. Furthermore, reinstalling from CD would not fix the problem.

The problem was caused by having Security permissions accidently stripped from the BibleWorks folder. To fix this problem, please follow the following steps:

1. Login in using an Administrator account.

2. Download the following attached ZIP file to your computer:
http://www.bibleworks.com/downloads/BWsfp.zip

3. Copy the contents of the ZIP file to your desktop (or some other uncompressed folder). There should be two files.

4. Double-click the BWsfp file.

This should fix your file permissions and enable you to run BibleWorks normally.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience. This should fix your file permissions and enable you to run BibleWorks normally.
