I've been applying the updates to the popup copy window that add a version selection button. Unfortunately, it's not selectable. What's the point of putting the button there if we can't select it? Jeepers.

If the export mode selected is Result verses list version only - and it was, when I called the popup copy window - then you have only one "choice". Click on the Favorites, select your options and it will give you a choice if it is meaningsful. At least so far as I can see.

This is where version 7's copy window was superior, as I've said in several posts. You could type the version type into the window and change it on the fly. Tech support, please re implement this back into the copy window. Kind of reminds me of the ol' adage, "if it ain't broke don't fix it..." ;)

Blessings,
Dave

The old popup copy window was not configurable. The new one is. Once you get it set up it is much easier to use than the old one and much more flexible. The recent changes wer an accomodation to requests to go back. We can't go back any more without destroying the advantages of the new favorites scheme. We'll fix bugs, but the old scheme is not coming back. Sorry.

The grayed button is awkward. It is there because of a clash of approaches to the popup tool. Attempts to satisfy eveyone always result in awkward interfaces. I don't think it makes sense to make more changes.

That's cool. Thanks for your response, Mike. And thanks for making this an excellent upgrade.

OK,

Another question about copy window behavior.

In version 7, when I selected to "copy the text to a specific application" (Word, Nota Bene, etc...), the little copy window would affix itself to that application; so that, even if I brought BW back to the front of other applications, or minimized it, that little windowed remained attached to the designated application.

Does that make sense?

I haven't been able to get that same behavior with the copy window in ver 8.

Any suggestions?

Dave

I believe that changed due to MS Windows. I think Mike Bushell of BW said that Vista would not allow attaching (security reasons).

What is your system configuration?
