Word 3 - Memmaal. With mouseover, it says maal means an unfaithful or treacherous act. Looking at both the word analysis and using my own knowledge, isn't maal above/upon? Where does this unfaithful or treacherous act come from? Is this a bug?

I am running 8 and the morph tag id correctly indicates this is a particle / adverb "above." ma'al has a homonym which means an "unfaithful action" it is glossed just before the adverb in most of the lexicons. Are you using the latest version of the WTM?

I'm on BW8...7k.1 and the Word Tips do not correctly identify the prepositional meaning of ma'al (WTT/WTM) in Isa 6:2 or Gen 22:9.

Sorry, didn't catch that. I keep word tips turned off. Drive me nuts. Once and a while when I need lexical aid I just use shift + mouse over to see info in analysis window. Here is a screen capture of the situation and the HALOT entries for the homonyms. Wonder where morph info comes from on word tips?
Notice that preposition is accented on the first syllable...
