converting BWGRKL to Unicode

Where are you trying to do it? If you want to copy something from a BW database (and are using BW7), there is a built in conversion trick. Go to the top menu system Tools: Options: Fonts: Export Fonts (a radio button): Select a Unicode font (I usually use Palatino Linotype) and make sure the box after it under the column "Unicode" is checked. Click Ok. This may require restarting BW to work properly, but you should be good to go.
