How do I find the number of verses in the Book of Proverbs or any other book for that matter?

There may be a better way than this, but if you FIRST set your search limits to Proverbs by typing --

l pro on the CL (command line), and (l stands for "limits")

then open the GSE and type an * in the Word Box, then click on Go, the Status Bar at the bottom of BW will tell you that you have 915 verses and 15038 hits, assuming you're using the KJV.

If you do the same with, say, the VUL, you still get 915 verses but 9904 hits because there are fewer individual words in the VUL than there are in the KJV.

So that's one way; there may be another.

Of course, you can clear the search limits by typing l on the CL without anything after it and then hitting the enter key.

If you hold the mouse over the version identifier in the Browse Window, the Word Analysis tab shows details on the Bible version, including the Current Verse #. Using the Current Verse number you can subtract and find the number of verses between two verses.
