Install Failure

I just received BW7 and I eagerly put the first disk in to install it to my Vista machine.

However, I don't even make it past the "Install/Configure" point because I get this error message:

Setup has experienced an error.

Please do the following:

-Close any running programs.
-Empty your temporary folder.
-Check your internet connection.



I am completely baffled by this, and I am not a newbie to computing. Has anyone ever seen this error, or know how to get around this?

Boy, upgrading to Vista was a pretty big mistake.

Ok, I figured out what was happening. When I upgraded to Vista a few months ago, I turned on the "User Account Manager" function that supposedly protects and "helps" me use my computer. This function was totally interfering with the install process; when I turned it off, I was able to start installing the program.

Hopefully this will help any of the other poor souls out there in the future that uses Vista.
