When displaying Greek or Hebrew text, or some symbols in the lexicons, squares appear in place of the appropriate character/symbol. This is usually an indication an installed font file does not have all of the character positions mapped. This condition will exist with older font files that were used for specific character sets, such as foreign language alphabets.
When running an updated version of BibleWorks with an older version of the Greek or Hebrew fonts this problem can be encountered. At times new development (like a new lexicon) requires the addition of new characters to the BibleWorks Greek or Hebrew fonts. If the newer font is not installed, one may see a square in the place of the newly added character.
Therefore, if a newer version of BibleWorks is to be installed as an upgrade, confirm that any previous versions of BibleWorks have first been removed. This is most important when that previous version is BibleWorks 5, for which the font files were different than those in use for the later versions.
