BibleWorks has offered, for several versions, tutorial videos that demonstrate how to make use of the program. The videos in BibleWorks 7 are better yet, for they have been created from a "task-oriented" point of view, that is, how can I use BibleWorks to make my Bible study better?

When the program first opens, the "Getting Started" window opens. This window contains a welcome to the program, and links to videos that demonstrate the basics of program use. These videos can be viewed as often as needed, so that one will know how to the Command Line, various program panels and windows that open. This window also contains links to the Study Guides and the BibleWorks Online Help System.

The Study Guides continue what was begun with the Getting Started videos. Again, one will note from the organization of the material presented that it is "task-oriented." Our main concern is not to have users become "experts" in a program, but to make their Bible study better through use of that program.

The BibleWorks Online Help System is accessible in several ways. It is called "Online," not because it requires an Internet connection (all of the Help files are installed on the PC,) but because it is readily available on the computer. One can click the link on the Getting Started window, or from the drop-down HELP menu. Perhaps the best way to access the Online Help is by use of the F1 key. Hold the mouse over an item on the screen - whether it be a buttonbar button, a panel on the screen, or an open window such as the lexicons window - and press the F1 key. The Online Help window will open to the place where the indicated item is discussed.

A tutorial orientation to BibleWorks 7, searches using the Command Line, and text and morphology versions of the Biblical texts can be found in the attached document, Tutorial - BW7 First Things. This tutorial is also available in Spanish (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=933), German (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2556), French (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2862), and Portuguese (http://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2968). The Tutorial-BW6 First Things document is applicable in many ways to BibleWorks 5 as well.
