Prompted by a useful article at the SBL site (http://sbl-site.org/Article.aspx?ArticleId=605), I've been playing around with google Books (http://books.google.com/).
It has Cooke's Textbook of North-Semitic Inscriptions (http://books.google.com/books?vid=ISBN0837011914&id=OxgOAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA1&lpg=PA1&dq=aramaic&as_brr=1#PPP12,M1).
Now, if it's on google books as a whole, does that mean it's in the public domain?
Now, an official BW module of inscriptions (http://www.accordancebible.com/modules/details.php?ID=463) doesn't seem to be in the immediate future, at least last that I heard.(Anyone heard anything else yet?)
So, is there interest in putting together a user-database of inscriptions/translations, untagged at first, from Cooke? I've finally finished my comprehensive exams, and have some time for other things. I'm particularly interested in old Aramaic inscriptions, but I'd like to see as many as possible. Who else is interested?
