Pen scanners

Has anyone had any experience with pen scanners? Docupen (http://planon.com/), Wizcom (http://www.wizcomtech.com/), IRIS (http://www.irislink.com/c2-588/Pen-and-Portable-scanners.aspx) or any other hand held scanner?

I'm getting ready to head back to school and am looking for a note-taking tool.

Things to evaluate: ease of use, accuracy of OCR, recognition of various languages (particularly Spanish and Portuguese), and the ability to scan tables and charts as images.

Any recommendations, comments or warnings? Do these things really work, or am I better off typing in all my notes?

I have an Infoscan pen by Wizcom. I bought it specifically to use with my laptop as I read a book and found sections I wanted to "import" to my computer. (I still haven't figured out how to juggle a book while keeping it open and typing on the keyboard at the same time.) The concept I love, but in operation, I have found it laborious. Unless I keep the page flat, move it a slow rate, in a very straight line, I get errors which look like typos. It will not scan Hebrew or Greek. I had to proof read and make alot of corrections. Maybe someone else has had a more positive experience. Their techsupport was very good and it does perform as described.
