Is there a way to add an automatic date stamp in the user notes?

Microsoft Notepad, for example, lets you press F5 to insert the currrent time and date.

I don't know if there is something built-in to the BW editor, but something you could consider is Autohotkey (www.autohotkey.com) (http://www.autohotkey.com%29). It allows lots of windows automation. For what you are asking, you would add the following to c:\program files\autohotkey\autohotkey.ini:

:*:]d::
FormatTime,OutputVar,,yyyy-MM-dd
SetKeyDelay 0
Send %OutputVar%
return

]d is the hotkey. Pressing "]" and "d" at the same time will insert the date in the format yyyy-MM-dd. If this is ok for you, have a look a the documentation as to how to change the hotkey and the output format (F5 is already mapped to put the focus on the command line in BW).

If you want this to be active all the time, then you'll also need to make sure that there is link to your autohotkey.ini file in your start up menu.
