View Full Version : Hebrew Vocabulary for Introducing Biblical Hebrew

I've finished setting up a vrt file that matches Dr. Allen P. Ross' Introducing Biblical Hebrew. The file is based on entries in the BibleWorks databased, with the chapters set to match Ross and the definitions changed to match his definitions. He had a few listings that weren't in the BibleWorks file, so I added them in this vrt file but they won't have frequency data or an audio file.

I tried attaching the vrt file to this post but it doesn't like vrt files, so the file and additional information can be found at:

I've changed the location for this slightly, page info is now at:

http://www.musterion.net/bibleworks-hebrew-vocabulary/

and direct download of the vrt file is:

http://www.musterion.net/uploads/Ross_Vocab.vrt

I've also uploaded it as an attachment to this post.

Hi Columcille

Can you kindly tell us how we may use this file which you have created, with BibleWorks, please? Where do we put it?
Thanks

Also, is the file meant to take several hours to download from
http://jagtech.com.au/external/calvin.msi

because my computer seems to be still downloading about 3 hours after it began.

Got the Calvin file working.
Thanks
Looks good.

I hope to read the Institutes by the end of 2009, 500th anniversary of Calvin's birth.

Gontroppo,

http://www.musterion.net/bibleworks-hebrew-vocabulary/ has instructions on using the vocabulary file. But to sumarize, go to the Flash Card module in Bibleworks and click File->Import to open the vrt file.

As for Calvin, I know nothing about the download time for the Institutes, but I'm glad you got it working! :)
