Sometimes I long for good old Silver Mountain Bible Word for searches. It was so simple compared to Bible Works. Could Bible Works make complex searchs more complicated? I want to search to find out how many times a Hebrew Bible verse begins with the preposition MIN. I do not see how you tell the search where in a verse you are looking? Can you direct a search to the beginning of a verse or not? Can I search for the string soph pasuq + MIN? If you want to know why I am doing this, I am checking on a note of the masorah.

In the command line, make sure the WTM is your search version.

Type .mn

Hit F9 (keyboard shortcut for the ASE) or click the button for the ASE.

Double click on the wordbox with min in it.

Check "specify position in verse."

CLick "ok", then "go."

FWIW, I entirely agree with you. The wiser heads here always kindly tell me that I'm wrong, I should just read the manual... in my spare time.

But I find the BW search utterly non-intuitive. Silver Mountain was much simpler. Honestly, every program I see is simpler. ("Simpler" is not a synonym for "better," but it isn't an antonym, either.)
