Cross Versions Search Mode

This option allows you to determine how searches are performed. The options are:

1. Search Only Current Search Version – This is the default mode.

2. Search All Display Versions - If this option is active, the search will be conducted across all display versions of the same language as the search version. The command center verse list box will contain a list of all verses where a match was found. The results are mapped to the current search version. Statistics apply only to the search as performed in the current search version. If you see a verse reference with a single asterisk by it and no number, this is a verse for which no hit was found in the current search version, but for which there was a hit in one of the other display versions. Hits will be highlighted in all display versions.

3. Search and Display All Same Language Versions - This works in a fashion similar to the previous option but the search will occur in all installed versions with the same language as the current search version. If a hit is found in one of these search versions it will be activated as a display version. This mode is useful in looking for a word or phrase that you remember does occur in some version but whose version you can't remember.

4. Search and Prune All Same Language Versions - This option works like the previous one, but if a version does not have any hits it will be removed from the display version list. The search version, however, is never removed even if it has no hits.
